Obituary for Martin W. Bumbarger

Martin W. 'Fluff' 'Foxy' Bumbarger, 52, of Woodland passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.

He was born on November 21, 1969 in Philipsburg, a son of Melvin 'Stump' Bumbarger Jr. and Margaret (Godissart) Swatsworth.

Martin loved hunting, fishing, and the Dallas Cowboys. He liked coyote hunting especially. When he wasn't in the woods he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren that he loved dearly.

He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, West Decatur. He was also a member of various sportman's clubs including the Mosquito Creek Sportman's Club, West Branch Sportsman's Club, and the Sinnamahoning Sportman's Club.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Swatsworth and husband Richard; his son, Storm Bumbarger and wife Chelsea; two grandchildren, Harper Bumbarger and Ridge Bumbarger; two sisters, Lisa Cummings and husband Gary, and Tracy Kephart and husband William Sr.; four step sisters, Jennifer Swatsworth, Candace Weindler, Melody Allesander, and April Sakerak; two step brothers, Jason Swatsworth and wife Lori, and David Swatsworth and husband Josh; four nephews, William Kephart, Jr., Zachary Kephart, Kyler Kephart, and Matthew Kephart; three nieces, Desarae James, Sherri James, and Sabrina Bloom; and significant other, Kelly Wallace.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lori Ann Bumbarger; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Carmen Bumbarger, Sr., and maternal grandparents, Alfred and Gertrude Godissart.

Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11 AM with Rev. Brenda Libreatori officiating. Interment will follow in the Dale Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2-5 PM and Monday from 10-11 AM.
