Obituary for Michael K. Kifer
Michael K. Kifer, 68, of Philipsburg died on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on December 16, 1953 in Clearfield, a son of Dolores (Rowles) Kifer of Curwensville and the late Russell L. 'Pete' Kifer Sr.
Mike was affiliated with the Glad Tidings Assembly of God and enjoyed mowing the grass at the church.
He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1972 and was a welder by trade. He was employed with his family's business, A.W. Kifer Inc. He enjoyed fishing, his motorcycles, and having lunch with the seniors at the church. He thoroughly loved playing 500 Rummy with his mother. Mike was also always available to take his friends wherever they needed to go. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother Dolores of Curwensville, he is survived by two children, JoyEl 'Peach' Yasovky and husband Matthew of Lakeland, FL, and Chad Kifer and wife Stephanie of Hockessin, DE; two grandchildren, Ryker Yasovsky and Ellison Kifer; two sisters, Sharon Caldwell of Woodland and Carla Verelli and husband David of Curwensville; and two brothers, Arthur Kifer and wife Markay of Clearfield and Russell Kifer Jr. and wife Patti of West Decatur.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Tuesday at 1 PM with Rev. Sam Maines officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM - 1 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
