Obituary for Mildred B. English

Mildred 'Mil' B. English, 95, of Allport Cutoff, Morrisdale died on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.

She was born on November 5, 1927 in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Frank and Coredelia (Verbeck) Plubel.

Mildred helped in the kitchen at the Frenchville Picnic for many years. She hardly ever missed any sporting events that her grandchildren and great grandchildren we're involved in. She was known as Mildred, Mil, Aunt Mil, Mom, Gram, and GG. All of those names had the same definition, which were beauty, grace, strength, and love of her family.

Mil loved being at her second home, camp, every moment she could with her family and friends for holidays and family gatherings. She loved playing cards and teaching numerous generations of the family how to play. She always loved sitting around a big fire and eating hot dogs while visiting with her family as they were camping.

Mil had a passion for cooking, gardening, rides with her family and fur buddies, swinging on porch swings, and rocking on rocking chairs any chance she got.

She was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Parish, Mosquito Creek Sportsmens Club, and the VFW Post #8386, all of Frenchville.

She is survived by three children Judith Rolley and husband Ronald Sr. of Frenchville, Dean English and wife Suzanne (Royer) of Middletown, and Timothy English and wife Nicole (Roos) of Frenchville; eight grandchildren, Lori Ann Gardner, Dr. Ronald Rolley, Jr., Kimberly Wisor, Melinda Smalley, Dr. Mandy Peters, Michael English, Chase English, and Casey English; thirteen reat-grandchildren, Ryan Gardner, Dr. Samuel Gardner, Dr. Brett Gardner, Brendon Rolley, Danielle Rolley, Haley Mantz, Ashley Wisor, Rhett Smalley, Rory Smalley, Rafe Smalley, Emmett Peters, Ryder English, and Ryker English; and two great great-grandchildren Emma Gardner and Ella Gardner; a sister-in-law, Janet (VanDerMarel) English of IL; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur buddies, Snowball and CJ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry O. English on March 30, 1981 and whom she wed July 10, 1948 in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, Frenchville. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Henry Plubel, Clyde Plubel, Robert Plubel, James Plubel, and Leroy Plubel; and two sisters, Isabelle Renaud, and June Folmar.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Mary of Assumption Parish, Frenchville on Saturday at 1 PM with Fr. William Barron officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.

Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4-7 PM and Saturday at the church from 12-1 PM.
