Obituary for Nancy P. Hutton (Potts)
Nancy P. Hutton, 85, of Mahaffey, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Edinboro Manor, Edinboro, PA.
She was born on June 29, 1935 in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late S. Merle and Helen (Bergman) Potts.
She received her B.S. in Education from the Indiana State Teaching College and her Master's degree from Indiana State College. Mrs. Hutton was the co-owner and office manager for Hutton Farm Equipment from 1977 until 1999. She also taught school in the Monroeville School District for 7 years and the Clearfield School District for 4 years and was a frequent substitute teacher at Purchase Line, Harmony, and Clearfield Alliance Christian School.
Mrs. Hutton was a member of Mahaffey Alliance Church where she was involved with many activities within the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lockett and husband Mark of Lake City; two grandchildren, Evan J. Lockett and Elianna D. Lockett of Lake City; and a brother, Jack E. Potts and wife Marsha of Monroeville. along with several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Hutton in 1997. She was also preceded in death by a brother, M. Dean Potts.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahaffey.
A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Mahaffey Alliance Church, 503 E. Main St., Mahaffey, PA, 15757. or Mahaffey Camp, Children’s Ministry Building, PO Box 277, Mahaffey
