Obituary for Ronald Guy Porter

Ronald Guy 'Ronnie' Porter, 50, of Reynoldsville passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at his home.

He was born on February 10, 1972 in Clearfield, a son of Ronald and Margaret 'Peg' (Boyce) Porter.

Ronnie loved being outdoors in the company of friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Duke and Mr. B. Ronnie loved to fish, hunt at the many camps and streams with the guys as well blazing trails on snowmobiles, four-wheelers and motorcycles. A master of many trades, he was a gifted creator and fixer of whatever he set his mind to. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his son, Theron. He loved him dearly. A graduate of Clearfield High School in 1990 and Penn State University. He was employed at Morgan Advanced Materials of St. Mary’s as Director of Maintenance.

As a younger man Ronnie completed his Past Master Councilor of the Clearfield Chapter Order of the DeMolay and then a member of the DuBois Free And Accepted Garfield Lodge #559.

He had a huge heart and would always be the first to lend a helping hand. Ronnie could light up any room with his sharp wit and warm nature. Those blessed to know him will remember the endless tales and laughter of being with him.

He is survived by his Parents Ronald and Margaret, Son Theron and his mother Jennifer Rhodes, Brothers Dan and Wife Celeste, Eric and Wife Jodi, and Nephew/Nieces Wyatt and Gwenn and Raegan.

He was preceded in death by his Sister Kathryn and Grandparents.

Ronnie attended Westside United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 4-7 PM.

Interment will be in the Historic Crown Crest Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Theron Dean Porter Trust Fund at County National Bank attention Samantha Lippert, 31 South 2nd Street, Clearfield, PA or with trustee Ronald E. Porter.
