Obituary for Ryan M. Billotte

Ryan Matthew Billotte, 48, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Clearfield, was tragically killed by a hit and run motorist while working as a tow truck operator in Las Vegas.

Born November 26, 1972 in Indiana, PA, he was the son of William H. and Judith A. (Miles) Billotte and brother to Brandon W. Billotte, all who survive of Clearfield.

He attended Marion Center Schools before moving to Clearfield in 1988. He graduated from Clearfield Area High School in 1991, where he was involved with the wrestling program and served as team manager. He also participated in the FFA program. He attended Penn State University, Dubois before enlisting in the US Navy. He then moved to Las Vegas briefly before moving to North Carolina where he became a step father to Paige and Chandler, and began his life long work as a tow truck operator. This took him back to Las Vegas where he met and on January 22, 2012 married the love of his life, Rebecca Mahon, who survives with step children, Stephanie, David, Patrick, and their families of Las Vegas. He is also survived by uncles, Edmund (Carol) Billotte of Woodland, Keith (Tami) Billotte, Kenneth (Sharon) Billotte, and Robert (companion Laura Thompson) Billotte, all of Clearfield; aunts, Carol (Barton) Peeples of Ocala, FL and Deborah Miles Clark of Clearfield; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Chester R. and Sara B. Miles; paternal grandparents, Edmund W. and Margaret Rhoda Billotte; uncles, Delmont and David Billotte, and Charles Clark; aunt, Patricia Billotte; and cousins, Beth Ann Billotte and Melinda Patterson.

Ryan loved the outdoors, hunting, country music, and dogs. Mutts to pure breeds, it didn't matter to him. Ryan was a former member of The Presbyterian Church of Clearfield and then became loyal member of The Wagonwheel Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, NV.

He will be sadly missed by us all, and his dogs Kimber and Chevy.

He was also an organ donor.

Visitation will be from 9-11 AM at The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield with services to follow on Saturday, March 20, 2021 with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Hopper and Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.

Masks are required to be worn in the church. Guests are asked to enter the church through the Second St. entrance and exit through the Pine St. doors.
