Obituary for Steven W. Martell
Steven W. Martell, 55, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, due to complications of bacterial pneumonia.
Born on July 9, 1966, he was the son of the late Bernard and Lawana (Mayhew) Martell of Clearfield.
Steve was a 1984 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. He was currently employed at Martell Glass/New Angle Beveling of Hyde.
Steve enjoyed watching the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins as well as Penn State football. He was an avid fan of dirt track racing, having owned the 11G street stock, and eventually the 11G late model, both driven by his friend Dan Gill of Clearfield.
He is survived by his wife, Ann (Bennett) Martell; an aunt, Barbara Learish; cousins, Shari Learish and Stanley Mayhew, all of Clearfield; a cousin, Kenny Mayhew of Shawville, and special friends, Nick and Jamie Veihdeffer of Hyde.
In honoring of Steve's wishes, there will be no public services observed. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery, Frenchville.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, 113 North Third Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
