Obituary for Sylvia D. Evans (Enochs)
Sylvia D. Evans, 85, of Clearfield died on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation, Clearfield.
She was born on December 4, 1936 in Temple, TX, a daughter of the late Chester and Etha (Hardin) Enochs.
Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, Wallaceton. She was very passionate about music, whether it was playing the piano or violin, or listening to gospel music. Mrs. Evans also enjoyed baking for family and friends and volunteered in the kitchen at Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield. She dearly loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Harry Lyle Reitmyer of OH, Lorrie Dawn Wells of Curwensville, and Barbara G. Reitmyer of Clearfield; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Chester Bryan Enochs, Jr. of OK; and a sister, Barbara Ann Butler of Ft. Worth, TX.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hobart Reitmyer on December 5, 1993; her second husband, Roy Earl Evans on February 20, 2018; and a sister, Billie Lee Brooks.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 12 PM with Rev. Gene Butler Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Styers Cemetery (formerly Crown Crest Memorial Park) in Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10 AM until the time of service at Noon.
