Obituary for Telford Taylor Sunderland

Telford Taylor Sunderland, 90, of Curwensville died on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his home.

He was born on January 1, 1932 in Grampian, a son of the late William and Margaret (Bell) Sunderland.

He worked various places including Clearfield Cheese, Schreiber Foods, Community Health Care Services, and as a bus driver in Curwensville.

Telford did not graduate high school, but later in life finished his education and received his GED.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Curwensville Alliance Church, and the Old Town Sportsman's Club.

Mr. Sunderland enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Above all, he was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Jane (Lippert) Sunderland whom he wed February 23, 1952; three children, Gary Sunderland and wife Susan of Grampian, Lisa Fleming and husband Mark of Curwensville, and Dave Sunderland and wife Tammy of Curwensville; six grandchildren, Tiffney Rouguex, Tracey Schaffer, Keith Barrett, Jayce Sunderland, Chelsea Ryen, and Cody Fleming; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Rouguex, Cooper Ryen, and Kennedy, Leanna, Bryanna and Adam Schaffer; brother, Clair Sunderland and wife Judy; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Craig Sunderland; six brothers, Alton Sunderland, Jim Sunderland, Charles Sunderland, Bud Sunderland, Dick Sunderland and Boyd Sunderland; a sister, Grace Meckley.

Funeral services will be held at Curwensville Alliance Church on Saturday at 12 PM with Pastor Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.

Friends will be received at Curwensville Alliance Church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service.
