Teresa M. Koontz, 91, of Clearfield died on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on October 22, 1926 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Julius and Sarahfina (Mauro) Marinoble.
Mrs. Koontz was a long time employee of Clearfield Hardware where she excelled and enjoyed gun sales.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret A. Sayers and husband Ronald of Frenchville; two granddaughters, Christine R. McGrew and husband Mark, and Megan A. Sease and husband Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Hope Sease; three sisters, Eleanor Shifter of Clearfield, Crementine DeLarme of Dubois, and Kathryn Beddes of Naples, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D. Peter Koontz on August 8, 1991 and whom she wed July 20, 1946. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn L. Boron; brothers, Nick J. Marinoble, Joseph Marinoble, James Marinoble; and two sisters, Sally Catalano, and Mary Miele.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Penn Highlands Clearfield Home Health, 438 W Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
