Obituary for Tina M. Shiner (Minute)

Tina M. Shiner, 91, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

She was born on October 17, 1929 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Quethera) Minute.

Mrs. Shiner retired in 1992 after 21 years of service at the Clearfield Municipal Authority. Prior to that, she was employed by the former Ziffs Tots to Teens, Clearfield and Penelec.

A 1947 graduate of Clearfield Area High School, she was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she was involved with the church's Rosary and Altar Society and preparing bereavement lunches. Mrs. Shiner also volunteered at St. Francis School Cafeteria.

She is survived by three children, Kathryn Tubbs and husband Harold of Meadville, William A. Shiner and wife Lou Ann of Clearfield, and Susan McCusker and husband Richard 'Butch' of Montoursville; six grandchildren, Amanda Tubbs Nelms and husband Derek, Nicole D'Uva and husband Steve, Ashley O'Shurak and husband Danny, Rebecca Lumpp and husband Steve, Matthew Shiner, and Andru McCusker; six great grandchildren, Greyson Nelms, Noah D'Uva, Giuliana D'Uva, Harper O'Shurak, Hunter O'Shurak, and Brooks Lumpp; and a sister, Mary Jo Brown and husband Harold 'Butch' of Port Matilda.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Shiner on October 27, 2006 and whom she wed September 23, 1950 at St. Francis Church. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Nick and James Minute; and a sister, Sandora Galio.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:30 PM with Fr. Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
