Obituary for Wilbur G. McFaye Jr.
Wilbur G. 'Hayseed' McFaye Jr., 75, of Frenchville died on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on October 10, 1946 in Frenchville, a son of the late Wilbur and Mary (Welsh) McFaye.
Wilbur drove truck for R. T. Merryman Trucking of Phiipsburg for many years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Cliff McFaye and wife Samantha of Woodland, Gordon McFaye and wife Candi of Sykesville, and Matt Scaife and significant other Melissa Freet of Lewisberry; four grandchildren, Clifford McFaye II and fiance Erika Leigey, Mackenzie Bloom and husband Greg, Mikayla McFaye, and Matthew Scaife and wife Megan; and expecting two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Kay Scaife on March 2, 2009 and whom he wed March 23, 1978. He was also preceded in death by son, Stephen McFaye; two sisters, Margarat Michaels and Mildred Thompkins; and a brother, Richard McFaye.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 12 PM with Rev. Stevan Sheets officiating. Private interment will be in the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM - 12 PM.
