A. Kirk High Sr., 80, of Clearfield died on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born on January 19, 1941 in Clearfield, a son of the late W. Clair High and Katherine J. (Peters) High Rogers.
Mr. High retired in 2003 after 43 years of employment at Kurtz Brothers in the printing department. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. High also was a little league baseball coach for nearly 15 years.
He is survived by two sons, Clair High and wife Lynn Anne of West Decatur, and Kirk High of Hyde; five grandchildren, Richard, Greg, Ryan, Heather, Brittany; several great grandchildren; one brother, Charles H. 'Rock' Rogers of Hyde; four sisters, Lucinda Lightner of FL, Martha Hufnagle and husband Frank, of Howard, Mary Neville of AZ, and Nancy Richmond of MO.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Althea 'Mickey' (McFarland) High on June 27, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles C. Rogers; and a grandson, Kirk Anthony High.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1 PM. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM - 1 PM.
