Alice Donna "Dolly" Rosselli Centra passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026 at Mountain Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Born in Clearfield, Pa on October 24, 1930 to Ernesto Amiliano Rosselli and Maria Domenica (DeLappa) Rosselli. She is survived by her son, Bruce E. (Nell) Centra, and a sister in law, June Rosselli; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. Dolly is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Joseph (Anna) Rosselli, Mary Rosselli - Miller (Mike), Robert R. Rosselli, Anthony R. "Tony" (Peggy) Rosselli, Ralph"Ted" (Nickie) Rosselli, John P. "Johnny" Rosselli, and Ernest A."Junior" Rosselli. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Dolly was the daughter of Italian immigrants who settled in Clearfield in 1921. She very much enjoyed reflecting on her cherished memories of having grown up in East End Clearfield, and the close relationships and bonds established over many years with the wonderful and spirited people and families of the neighborhood. Those times brought her so much happiness and memorable life lessons, and she counted them as some of the best days of her life. Dolly often remarked about how much she missed the "old people." Those vivid memories, friendships and experiences lasted a lifetime; and remained deep in her heart right up until the time of her passing.
Dolly graduated from Clearfield High School in 1948, and had worked for many years at G C Murphy's in downtown Clearfield; having started working there in 1945. She later worked in the family business of Philipsburg Electric & Supply, Inc. until her retirement in 2005 at the age of 75. Dolly was a member of St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid supporter of USA veterans and a member of The American Legion Auxiliary. She supported Clearfield VFW, AARP, Clearfield Moose, and Clearfield Eagles 812. Dolly also proudly supported American Red Cross blood drives for many years, and was often "on call" to donate her rare blood type when there was a person in need. She was very proud of her father and her brothers' honorable military service to the country in both WWI , WWll, and in years beyond.
The family would like to thank and acknowledge the entire staff at Mountain Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation and Gentiva Hospice for their very kind and compassionate care of Dolly. And to the many residents, as well, who supported, comforted, visited and encouraged Dolly throughout her stay there, please know of our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for your meaningful interactions with her. "We meet no ordinary people in our lives." C.S. Lewis.
Private funeral services will be held with Deacon Robert Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield. A Memorial Mass for Dolly will be celebrated at a later date at St Francis Church.
Memorials may be sent to St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield, PA.
