Alice H. Conrad , 78,
of Hyde died on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
She was born on December 15, 1933 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Alman E. and Margaret E. (Richards) Hickok.
Alice was employed at the former Shortway Products, GC Murphy and Berg Electronics. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and especially loved to read.
She is survived by two children, Leslie J. Canter of Clearfield and Susan A. Kitko and husband Dennis of Madera; seven grandchildren, Holly Ann Canter, Tracy Ann Canter, Charles J. Canter and wife Michelle, Robert D. Gearhart, Dan E. Gearhart Jr., Stacey L. Norris and husband Greg and Scott A. Gearhart; and nine great-grandchildren, Julie Marie, Tyler James and Kaitlin Canter, Colton Reese, Jessica L., Kevin and Ryan Gearhart, Peyton and Colton Norris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Conrad on January 1, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Gearhart, a brother, Robert Hickok and two infant brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm and on Monday from 10 - 11am.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 541 Graham Station Road, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
