Alice E. Danver, 84, of Clearfield, died on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on September 7, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Catherine E. (Rafferty) Danver.
Miss Danver retired from Sears Roebuck Company, Clearfield.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society and volunteered for the St. Francis School cafeteria, the Mercy Mission and the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Helen Taylor of Clearfield, Rosella Duttry of Clearfield, Ruth Ann McCracken and husband Clifford of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Coons and Lois Danver; two brothers Francis 'Frank' and James ‘Bump’ Danver; three brothers-in-law Robert Coons, Elry Taylor and Dwight Duttry; a sister-in-law Amy Danver; two nephews; two grand nieces and a grand nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 9-9:30 AM
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield or to the St. Francis Parish Development Campaign, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield.
