Bertha Mae Buck

Bertha Mae Buck, 90, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Mountain Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

She was born May 19, 1935, the daughter of Burtis and Virgie (Bumbarger) Maines.

Bertha retired from the Clearfield Hospital in 1999 after many years of working in environmental services. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, and watching professional wrestling.

She is survived by three children, Richard 'Butch' (Brenda Holtmeyer) Buck Jr., Gary (Jen English) Buck, B. Jean (Robert) Rose, and J. Scott (Cathy) Buck Sr.; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Cupp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Black; grandchildren, Reba Lynn Buck, Jeffrey S. Buck Jr., and Christopher P. Laird; great-granddaughters, Aubriannah Maelynn Conner, and Amelia Grace Blake; brothers, Benjamin 'Bennie', Ralph, Wilbur 'Darrel', Chester 'Chet', Robert 'Bob', Harry, Ernest, Ray, Harold 'Abe', and Walter; and sisters, Martha Buck, Hettie Dixon, Violet Dixon, Dorothy 'Doris' Feasler, and Katherine 'Kay' Butterworth.

Visitation will take place at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 11 AM - 1 PM. Services will immediately follow at 1 PM with Deacon Christopher Conner, grandson-in-law, officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
