Boyd G. Peters, 92, of Woodland died on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on September 4, 1917 in Clearfield, a son of the late C. William and Ethel E. (Eshelman) Peters.
He was employed with Woolridge Coal Co., Clearfield, where he worked the tipple. He also farmed all of his life.
Mr. Peters attended Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland.
He is survived by his wife, Althea (Peters) Peters; a son, Bill Peters of Woodland; a granddaughter, Maridawn Peters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers John, Cal, Donald, Marvin and Fred Peters.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Building D, Suite 101, Altoona PA 16601.
