Brenda R. Siegel, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Penn Highlands Hospital in DuBois.
Brenda was born October 6, 1940 in Brooklyn NY, the daughter of Harry and Mollie (Radosh) Rosen.
She was a member of the former Temple Beth Shalom in Clearfield, the former Brit Shalom in State College, and currently a member of the Sons of Israel congregation in DuBois. She served on the Board of Directors of the ADAU (Anti Drug Athletes United) and as a certified referee for powerlifting events all over the world. She was also a member of the Queen Bee Book Club.
Brenda and her late husband Allan Siegel (Big Al) and son Jay Siegel owned and operated Siegel Engraving in Clearfield. She had previously been a teacher in Brooklyn and in Clearfield. She loved to celebrate the holidays at the Addleman's and enjoyed going out to dinner whenever given the chance. She adored her granddaughter and loved cheering for her at her softball games.
She is survived by two sons, Hal Siegel in Austin, TX, and Jay Siegel of Clearfield; her beloved granddaughter, Eve Siegel; and her extended family, Phyllis 'Kuk' and Chuck Addelman, Emily Addelman, and Tyler and Zack Horton. Brenda also is survived by a close group of friends that loved to socialize and celebrate birthdays today, who they named themselves the 'Golden Girls': Elaine, Connie, Bonnie, Barb, Cindy, Suzanne, Sherry, Pam, and Diane.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Allan Siegel (whom she married in 1959); two brothers, Arnold Rosen and Ephrem Rosen; and a nephew, David Rosen.
Friends and family are invited to come celebrate her life with us this Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at Moena's Restaurant in Clearfield. Please feel free to stop in anytime between 2 PM - 4 PM.
