Burton Theodore 'Teddy' Maines Jr., 42, passed away on March 4, 2026, at EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland, WA.
He was born June 21, 1983 in Clearfield.

Teddy graduated from Clearfield High School in 2001. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 2001-2005. He served as a SGT and dedicated flying Crew Chief on a KC135 during the Iraqi Freedom Operation. He received the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, 2 Operation Enduring Freedom and 2 Operation Iraqi Freedom Campaign badges.

After his military service, Teddy attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Building Automaton Technology and an Associates Degree in Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with Honors in 2009. He then worked as a Senior Project Superintendent for various companies along the East and West coasts. He was a motivator and really enjoyed his work. He would take on tasks that nobody else would want to handle and was highly respected by his coworkers.

Teddy was so loved and adored by many. He had a personality that steals your heart, and no matter what he would put a smile on your face. Teddy loved adventure. He loved helping others no matter what the task. You would never find him sitting still, or staying in one place for long. He loved to travel, and go on adventures especially with his girls and his dad. He was making plans to take his niece skydiving as soon as she was old enough. He always made sure that when mom said "no", she still knew to call Uncle Teddy.

He is survived by his parents, Burton T. 'BT" Maines and wife Ruby, and Jennifer Bailey and husband Rob; his fiancé, Victoria Swoop who he would have wed June 26, 2026; two children, Jamison Maines and Rorie Maines; siblings, Jason Dullen and companion Sue, Krystal Bloom, Theodore Rowles and wife Lori, Karen Williams and husband Jeff, and Alicia Webster and husband Shawn; paternal grandmother, Nancy Maines; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Rosemary McCorkle; and paternal grandfather, Burton L. Maines; an uncle, Michael N. Maines, an aunt, Robin Lumadue; and a cousin Casey Swisher.
