Carol L. Walker

Carol L. Walker, 83, passed away on July 9, 2026, at her home.

She was born October 11, 1942, the daughter of Paul and Hesterbell (Irvin) Smith.

Mrs. Walker enjoyed taking care of her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James C. Walker whom she wed in 1962; 6 children, Jaimy Buck of Shiloh, Jimmy Walker and wife Sharyn of Liberty, NC, Jason Walker and wife Tammy of Bigler, Jarrett Walker and wife Mindy of Rockton, Jabe Walker and wife Veronica of West Decatur, and Jonathan Walker of Bigler; 14 grandchildren, Jeremy Buck, Cody Buck, Carlee Walker, Cade Walker, Cayleigh Walker, Carsyn Walker, Brandon Walker, Lauren Walker, Ayden Walker, Raelyn Walker, Nick Walker, Colten Walker, Payton Walker, and Preston Walker; 4 great-grandchildren, Lydia, Jensen, Nora, and Wrenley; a sister, Janice Dixon of Woodland; two brothers, Richard Smith and wife Bertha of Clearfield, and Daniel Smith of Travelers Rest, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joan Walker; a sister, Joyce Rodkey; and a son-in-law, Bill Buck.

A funeral service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11 AM.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 4 - 7 PM & again on Wenesday from 10 - 11 AM.

Interment will be in the Historic Crown Crest Cemetery.
