Caroline Castagnolo

Caroline Castagnolo, 64, of State College, PA died peacefully on February 28, 2026 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Duttry, who adored her; her sister, Susan Roessner; brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Laurie Castagnolo; niece Margo Castagnolo and her husband Dakota Shimmel and their son Paxton; her nephews and their spouses: Erik and Meredith Roessner and their daughter Gwenyth, Ryan and Katie Roessner and their children Ethan and Quinn, and Stephen and Noelle Roessner; and a special friend, Linh Bonomo.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rose Castagnolo; sisters Rosemary (Castagnolo) McMasters and Antoinette Castagnolo; and her brother-in-law Frank Roessner.

Caroline was born on December 15, 1961 in Clearfield, PA. She was a proud majorette for the Clearfield Bison and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1979.

Caroline worked in the mortgage banking industry for over 38 years, including 13 years with Rocket Mortgage where she thrived in various positions ranging from client relations to communications trainer and specialty partner trainer. During her time at Rocket Mortgage, she returned to school to graduate from Penn State University with a BA in Labor Studies and Employment Relations in 2013 and worked until her retirement in 2023. Caroline was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.

Caroline loved many things: to travel and visit new places, a new purse or a stylish pair of shoes, cooking (especially baking!), concerts, Fair Week, March Madness weekends in Las Vegas, trips to New England and spending time on the beach. She was fiercely loyal and devoted to her family. She was a passionate Penn State football fan who shined brightest cheering on her team on TV or at the game. Caroline was a beautiful, joyful spirit with boundless energy and enthusiasm. We will forever remember her wonderful nature and contagious smile and laughter

A private graveside service will be in Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield, PA at a later date.
