Charles R. Kim

Charles R. Kim, 88, passed away on August 26, 2026, at St. Andrews Village, Indiana, PA.

He was born April 29, 1938, the son of Charles and Mabel (Dennison) Kim.

Charles was a member of the Curwensville Alliance Church and the Operating Engineers Local 66 and Local 832.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Jocko. He was a devout Christian and proud of his faith.

Mr. Kim was a Paratrooper in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division.

He is survived by two children, Charles Kim and wife Rose of Ashburn, VA, and Nicole Bonham of Venice, FL; four grandchildren, Albert Kim and wife Minseon, Nathen Bonham, Justine Vankirk-Gonzales and husband Cashawn, and Bethany Bonham; a great-granddaughter, Irene Kim; and a sister, Daunice Schrack of Blairsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith L. (Riley) Kim on October 7, 2018 whom he wed August 13, 1966, He was also preceded in death by a son, David Kim; a brother, Timothy Kim; and two sisters, Vivian Dudash and Betty Hoe.

A funeral service will be held at the Curwensville Alliance Church on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 12 PM with Rev. Stephen Shields officiating.

Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 AM - 12 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville Alliance Church, 725 Susquehanna Avenue, Curwensville.
