Chester D. Knee Jr.

Chester D. Knee Jr., 81, of Clearfield, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Mr. Knee was born April 6, 1944, in Clearfield, the son of the late Chester Sr. and Ermina (Lippart) Knee.

He began his career as a construction worker with state of PA, working primarily on highway projects. He then was employed as a bartender, a job which he absolutely loved. He loved meeting new people and making great friends while tending bar at St. Charles and Busters, both in Clearfield and Busters II in DuBois. Mr. Knee then decided to run his own painting business. He was very much a lover of people. He loved family picnics at Parker Dam and Bailey Settlement. He also loved cooking big meals for his family. As long as he was around people, he was content.

Mr. Knee is survived by his wife, Patricia J. (Kokosko) Knee; three children, David Knee, Jody Knee and significant other Darin Heichel, and Jason Knee; three grandchildren, Alyssa Hammond and husband Ryan, Caitlin Thompson and husband Silas, and Joseph Walter Knee; three great grandchildren, Saige and Harlow Thompson, and Hayden Chester Hammond; and three brothers, Mick Knee and wife Donna, Scott Knee and wife Terri, and Ken Knee.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother who helped raise him, Minnie Houck Lippart; and two brothers, Bill Knee and Robert Knee.

A Celebration of Life will held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic, 1380 Shawville Highway, Woodland, PA 16881; or to the SPCA, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
