Darylyn Kay Wallace, 59, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2025, after carrying the weight of cancer with a quiet strength that showed others how to walk their own hard roads.
Born on December 1, 1965, "Dees" was the kind of person who made life feel lighter. Whether she was turning a hard moment into something brighter, giving you the kind of attention that made you feel seen, or offering the advice you didn't think you needed - but somehow always did.
As a devoted housewife and stay-at-home mom, she created a home defined by stability, laughter, and warmth. She made sure her family felt cared for, supported, and grounded - something that will be remembered long after the walls of that home fade.
Her family meant everything to her. As the only sister, she remained closely connected to her three brothers - her people, the ones who understood her, supported her, and stood with her in the ways that mattered most.
Her daughter, Megan, will miss her deeply but finds calm in knowing her suffering has ended. The love and strength her mom gave her will stay with her forever.
Darylyn was preceded in death by her parents, Daryl and Nancy Heitsenrether, and her brother Eric. She leaves behind two brothers, Brian (Donna) Heitsenrether of Clearfield, PA and Steve (Heidi) Heitsenrether of Woodland, PA; her two children, Megan (Joe) Opaliski of Clearfield, PA and Alan (Missy) Wallace of South Dakota; and four grandchildren - Joey, Bentley, Greenley, and Quinn, and a sister-in-law Amy Heitsenrether of Clearfield, PA. She is also survived by her former husband Tim with whom she shared her children; an aunt, two uncles, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
While her passing leaves a space we will feel forever, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, and in the life she lived with honesty, humor, and heart.
Funeral Services will be held at Hyde Wesleyan Church on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 12 PM with Pastor Stevan Sheets officiating.A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, November 29th, from 10am-12pm. We invite everyone who knew her to come share stories, laughter, and remember her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, 113 North Third Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
The family is especially grateful to Angela Hunt, whose steady support helped carry them through her final days. The family would also like to thank Michele of AseraCare Hospice for her tender, loving care throughout Mom's journey.
So, thank you, Mom, for the life you lived, how you lived it, and the lessons you left behind. Your presence continues in the small moments we move through, in the decisions ahead, and in the way we make sense of the world. We won't forget you, and your love will stay with us through whatever comes next.
Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
