Dorothy D. Dale, of Hyde, peacefully entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on November 2, 2025 at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 11, 1965 in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of Robert and Linda (Smith) Dale. She was a 1985 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She then attended Gallaudet Univeristy in Washington, DC, graduating in 1989. She was employed by N.O.A.A. in Maryland after graduation. Later she returned to Clearfield and was then employed by Grice Gun Shop and later by Clearfield Area School District.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Curwensville, and enjoyed the Deaf Ministry. Her joyfulness in life was being with her Deaf friends and their interpreters Terri and Jeannie. The Christian life was presented in a language she understood. She was loved by her children and was occupied in everything they were involved in. If it was a baseball game or a dance recital, she was there. She loved crafts and made many beautiful gifts for family. She also gave love to her favorite pets Rocky a Dachshund, and her bunny Simeon.
She is survived by her parents; a daughter, Faith Nicole McGuire and husband Thomas of Kane; a son, Noah Douglas Barrett of Grampian; and a granddaughter, Grace Jo McGuire.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Stella Mae Dale; and maternal grandparents, George M. and Dorothy (Spencer) Smith.
Honoring Dorothy's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
