Dorothy 'Angie' Medzie

Dorothy Angela 'Angie' Medzie, age 59, of Clearfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones after a long courageous battle of cancer.

Born on March 23, 1966 in Philipsburg, Angie was the beloved daughter of Martha and the late Jack McCoy, Sr. and Joe Medzie. She lived a life full of grace, compassion, and quiet strength. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, her friends, and her community.

Angie was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, sense of humor, and hard work. She touched the lives of many with her unwavering support and nurturing nature.

She is survived by her only daughter, Krysten Medzie and grand dog Charley, sisters, Kim McCoy, Mary Jo (Rick) Sedgwick, Teresa (Jodi) Smeal, Jacki Carfley, Crystal Casher, Niece, Catara Casher, nephew, Colton Casher, along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins and Anthony Sloan. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and her love and legacy will continue to live on through them.

Angie enjoyed teaching, bartending, and had worked numerous places around the area, most recently as the bar manager at the Clearfield Eagles Club.

Angie enjoyed teaching, vacationing, shopping, spending holidays or parties with family, crafting, and of course, watching the Philadelphia Eagles play and win the latest Super Bowl. She graduated from Edinboro University with her Bachelor's degree in early childhood education and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #1879, Ladies Auxiliary FOE 812, mini soccer coach for girls 8 and 10 under teams.

Friends and family will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 1-3 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home starting at 3 PM. Also, a celebration of life which will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions be made to Fraternal Order of Eagles 812, 310 E. Market Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; or to the Clearfield County Cancer Support, Inc., 610 Susquehanna Street, Curwensville, PA 16833.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
