Eleanor S. Antenucci, 91, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Colonial Courtyard, Clearfield.
She was born on February 13, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Blair and Evelyn (Leitzinger) Sykes.
She graduated from St. Francis School in 1945 and later graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing fromVilla Marie College, Erie and a Masters degree in Nursing from Catholic University in Washington D.C.
Mrs. Antenucci retired as the Assistant Director of Nursing Administration from the Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh in 1983. Previously, she taught nursing at the Georgetown University School of Nursing, the Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing and was an instructor in In-Service Education at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by three step sons, John Antenucci and wife Robin, James Antenucci and wife Patricia, and Gerard Antenucci and wife Laura; four step grandchildren, Anita, Josh, Zoe, and Nicklas; and three sisters, Sarah Hodge of Clearfield, Virginia Norris of Carlisle, and Margaret Spahr of Carlisle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Antenucci in 2002 and whom she married on April 15, 1972; and several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to express special appreciation to the staff of Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield for their loving care they gave throughout Mrs. Antenucci's time there.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 1:30 PM with Fr. Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 11 AM - 1 PM.
