Erlene D. Miles, 77, of Lewistown, formerly of Curwensville, died on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA.
She was born on April 25, 1934 in Wayne Township, Mifflin County, a daughter of the late Mac and Eva Gertrude (Woodward) Rhodes.
Mrs. Miles was employed at the Pennsylvania State University and at the former Target Sportswear.
She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Curwensville.
From 1950 until 1972 she lived in State College with her aunt and uncle, Mr. & Mrs. H.C. Smith.
She is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Clair Rhodes of Burnham, Wilber Rhodes of Mc Alisterville, Dorothy Workinger of Lewistown, Grace Pressler of Hollidaysburg and Pearl Robinson of Reidsville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Miles on September 13, 2008; and one brother and four sisters. She was married July 5, 1974 in State College, PA.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Cemetery, LaJose.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 AM.
