Franklin D. Clark, 91, of Olanta, died July 22, 2025 at his residence.
Born November 20,1933 in Bloomington, he was the sixth of fourteen children to Robert and Margaret (Kinback) Clark.
Mr. Clark retired from Waroquier Coal, Inc.. Clearfield, in 1998 and prior to that was employed at Benjamin Coal Company, LaJose, for 30 years.
He was a member of the Flegal Road Church of Christ, Clearfield, and a former member of the O'Shanter United Methodist Church for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Glen Richey Fire Department and a member of the Glen Richey Sportsman's Association.
Mr. Clark was an avid hunter and racing fan and for many years enjoyed helping on the family farm.
Surviving are two sons, Roger D. Clark of Pittsburgh and Kevin D. Clark, Sr. of Olanta and a daughter, Brenda D. Price of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Kevin Clark Jr., Dusten Clark, Ryan Clark, Zackery Clark, Katrina Peters, and SSG Matthew Price, U.S. Army; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Clark of Olanta; four sisters, Darlene Mulhollan of Bigler, Joyce Bowden and Barbara Swatsworth, both of Clearfield, and Norma Freeman of Hyde; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rose Marie Jury, on March 7, 2008; five brothers, Robert Clark Jr., William (Ed) Clark, Ralph Clark, Roy Dean Clark, John (Jack) Clark; and three sisters, Sylvia White, Iva King, and Rosemary Lake; a daughter-in-law, Melinda Clark; and two dear friends, Delores Shaffer and Kay Stiner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday, July 26, 2025 with Brother Raymond Stiner officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5 - 8 PM & again on Saturday from 10 - 11 AM.
