Freda A. Henry, 89, of Clearfield died on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on June 29, 1922 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late William and Alice (Amon) Wilson.
Mrs. Henry was employed by Filippos Restaurant of Clearfield as a cook. Previously, she worked alongside her father at the Keystone Ice Cream Factory, Clearfield and in housekeeping at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785 and the Third Ward Hose Company.
She is survived by two children, Judith Clark of Stronach and Neil Wilson and wife Linda of Clearfield; 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren; a sister, Wanita Wilson of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Henry in 1979 and whom she wed on September 28, 1957; a great grandson G.T. Waroquier; two son-in-laws Pat McCracken and Don Clark; five brothers Doyle, George, Richard, Weaver and Herbert Wilson; and two sisters Mabel Miller and Vivian McGonigal.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Hiram B. Westover officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
