Gloria Jean Collins

Gloria Jean Collins, 80, of Carrs Hill passed away on June 14, 2026, at her home after a short battle with cancer.

She was born May 16, 1946, the daughter of Reuben and Mae (Hineman) Norris.

Jean graduated from Curwensville High School in 1964. She then operated her own daycare in her home for many years before working at the former County Market. She most recently worked as a Customer Service Specialist at Big Lots since 2002.

She was a member of Centre Grove United Methodist Church.

Jean enjoyed sewing and loved to root for her Pittsburgh Steelers.

She is survived by two children, Casey Collins of Clearfield and Kelly (Collins) Wallace of Clearfield; three granddaughters, Sierra Collins and fiance Jesse Schlindwein, Haylee Wallace and fiance Kayden Stiles, and Adan Wallace; one grandson, Cameron Collins; and two great-grandchildren, Kyrra Lea Schlindwein, Amara Schlindwein, and William Schlindwein; and her beloved dog, Buddy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold 'Collin' Collins on May 13, 2017. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Reuben Albert Norris Jr.

A funeral service will be held at Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 2 PM.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 AM - 2 PM.

Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield SPCA 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830, or to breast cancer research.
