Jacqueline Nelle Carns, 77, of Clearfield was called home to be with her Lord Almighty on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at her home.
She was born on September 2, 1944 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late James and Ramona (Walker) Kaufman.
Jacky graduated from Clearfield High School in 1962, and then went on to graduate from DuBois Business College. She worked in the County Controllers Office until the birth of her son, then later worked at the former House of Cards, Fullington Trailways, Christ the King Manor, and then Walmart for 18 years.
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church for 63 years where she also taught Sunday School, was treasurer, and Woman of the Year. Jacky was also a member of the White Shrine, Eastern Star, Jr. Women's Club, and was an advisor for the Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by her son, Ronald L. "JR" Carns, Jr. of Clearfield; her twin sister, Patricia Ruth Kaufman Waters and daughter, Kristen Elaine Waters of Clearfield; and a brother, Gerald Wayne Kaufman and wife Judy of Henderson, NV, along with their sons, Brian James Kaufman and wife Jill, and Eric John Kaufman and wife Andrea and their two children, Parker Kaufman and Benjamin Kaufman, all of CA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Carns.
A memorial service will be held at the West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11 AM with Pastor Denise Haskins officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 AM.
