James Ginter

James Boyd Ginter, 88

of Clearfield died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Knickerbocker Villa, Clearfield.

He was born on August 13, 1918 in Rosebud, a son of the late John and Sarah (Spangle) Ginter.

Mr. Ginter was employed at the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #540 where he served as head steward from 1963 until 1977.
He was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks #540 and the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785 of Clearfield.
A veteran of the US Army, he served in Berma during World War II as a tail gunner on the B52 Bomber

He is survived by a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Regina Deluccia Curwensville Nestor Billotte and wife Mary Frenchville Kenneth A. Billotte and wife Helen Frenchville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary S. (Billotte) Ginter on May 20, 1995 and whom he married September 20, 1947 in Clearfield and these sisters and brothers, Edna Dittmar, Blanche Richardson, Dorotha Ruffaner, Verna Williams, Grace Bloom, Ethel Watson, Arthur, Roy, Charles, and Harry Ginter.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 9:00 P.M. with Mr. Richard B. Barkley officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-9:00 PM.
