Janice L. Homman, 77, of Clearfield died on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on March 3, 1935 in Lecontes Mills, a daughter of the late Elmer and Edith (Shirey) Leigey.
Mrs. Homman was a homemaker who enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived two daughters Cathy Jo Sones and husband Dale of Clearfield and Suzette Marie Rack and husband Michael of FL; four grandchildren, Shane Sones and wife Christina, Trevor Sones, Angela Foster and husband Sean and Adam Rack; and two sisters Bernice Condon of Clearfield and Leona Wooster of AR.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Homman on September 14, 2006 and whom she wed December 26, 1953 in Clearfield; five sisters Mabel Smith, Elma Picard, Pauline Dinsmore, Joann Sankey and Jacquline Dinsmore; six brothers Raymond, Elwood, Richard, Ronald, Elmer Jr. and Milton Leigey; twin infant sisters and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield.
