Jerry Lee Rees

Jerry L. Rees, aged 80, passed away on November 24, 2024 in Frenchville, PA. He was a member of The Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Karthaus, PA. Jerry was a United States Army Veteran. He worked many jobs before retiring from River Hill Coal Company, well into his seventies. He was a member and once Commander of the Frenchville VFW Post 8386; member and once President of the Mosquito Creek Sportsman’s Club of Frenchville; and a member of the American Legion of Philipsburg.

Jerry was born March 28, 1944. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole E. Rees-Cardinale; his children, Jerry Lee Rees Jr. with his wife Beth Rees; grandchildren, Evan Rees and step-grandson, Andrew Maddas with his wife, Sarah Maddas; Charles D. Rees with his wife, Sherri Rees; grandson, Todd Rees with his girlfriend, Brittany Renaud and great-grandson, Cole Rees; his sister Joyce Bosak with her husband Frank Bosak; granddaughter, Nicole Passmore with Allen Routch; great-grandson, Hunter; step-grandchildren, Ashlee Pelton and Cori Hoffmaster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David C. Rees and Vivian E. Moore-Rees; his brothers, Lawrence Rees, Jack Rees, Francis Rees, Delbert Rees, Kenneth Rees and Robert Rees; his sister, Loretta Quick.

There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
