Joan Brown

Joan Brown, 79, passed away on August 25, 2026, at her home.

She was born December 17, 1946, the daughter of Ruben and Catherine (O'Donnell) McDonald.

Joan enjoyed canning, sewing, crocheting, and making quilts. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida.

She is survived by three children, Jimmy Brown and wife Priscilla of Clearfield, Mark Brown and wife Melissa of Olanta, and Tonya Jarrell and husband Robert of DuBois; nine grandchildren, Shayne, Kayla, Devin, Kennedi, Shawna, Johnathan, Matthew, Monica, Jacob, and Cecilia; ten great grandchildren, Aubrey, Aerionna, Brogan, Grant, Warner, Ryen, Quinn, Belle, Cain, and Reaven; a brother, Bill McDonald and wife Louise; and a sister, Mary Kay Yarger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Brown on July 24, 2023. She was also preceded in death by an infant son Timmy Brown; a son, John Loftus Brown; three brothers, Tom McDonald, Ed McDonald, and Jimmy McDonald; and a sister, Carol Waring.

A private graveside service will be held at the Bradford Cemetery.
