Joanne C. Natoli, 79
of Clearfield died on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at her residence.

She was born on July 31, 1929 in Utahville, a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Nevling) Carns.

Mrs. Natoli was employed for 22 years by Riverside Market in the bakery as a finishing decorator. She was president of the Riverside union for a number of years. Mrs. Natoli was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, the Coterie Card Club and the Bradford Grange. She has been a volunteer at the St. Francis School, St. Francis Church and Mission for over twenty years. Her favorite hobbies include bocce, pinochle and bingo.

She is survived by five children, Dr. John Natoli and wife Ellen of Ambler, Annette Gratzmiller and husband William of Lower Burrell, Keith Natoli and wife Karen of Duncansville, Mary Natoli and T. Welch of Bellefonte Joan Natoli and husband Dieter Wurche of Nuremberg, Germany; eight grandchildren, Andy, Jeffrey, and Michelle Gratzmiller, Tim, John, Andreas and Julia Natoli and Michael O’Shea; eight great grandchildren, a brother, Jack Carns of Utahville; two half sisters, Rachel Dillon and Karen Wallace both of Ligonier and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Natoli on June 14, 2002 and whom she wed on September 17, 1949 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and a brother James Carns.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Monday at 10 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Monday from 9-9:30 AM.

A Christian vigil service will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:45 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield or to the St. Francis Church Building Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield.
