John Draucker

May 21, 1943 — July 16, 2018

John Arthur Draucker, 75, of Woodland died on Monday, July 16, 2018 at his home after a hard battle with stage four cancer. Mr. Draucker was born on May 21, 1943 in DuBois, the son of John S. and Lois Draucker.

He was a resident of Clearfield for most of his life and Lutheran by faith. Mr. Draucker was a member of the Clearfield Rotary Club from 1977-1992 where he served as Sec-Treasurer for three years and one year as President. During his term as President, he helped bring women into Rotary and attended several conventions and received the 1990 Community Achievement award from Rotary. He joined the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #540 in 1976 and the Clearfield American Legion Post No. 6 in 1986 and to this day, he was a member in good standing.

He was also a member in good standing of the Luthersburg Gun and Outing Club since 1958 where he served as the Sec-Treasurer for 35 years, only missing one hunting season in 1962 due to Uncle Sam. He joined the Army Reserve at Clearfield on August 8, 1962 and served until August 7, 1968 where his duties where Office and Supply work.

A 1962 graduate of Clearfield High School, the school was located on Mill Road at the time. He has attended every Class Reunion and has served on the Reunion Committee since 1992. He was employed by Community Loan-Community Consumer-Community Leasing on the corner of Third and Locust Streets in Clearfield from 1967-1992, serving as manager from 1978-1992. He had also been manager of the Curwensville, Indiana and State College offices. In May of 1992, he took an office job with Grice Gun Shop Wholesale where he worked full time and volunteered at the Museum until 2015, semi-retiring to four days a week and worked at Grice's until he had to quit do to his health.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (London-Rickhoff) Draucker; two sons, John M. Draucker and wife Leslie of Woodland and James M. Draucker of Wiley, TX; ; a step daughter, Sarah London of Reynoldsville; eight granddaughters; six great grandsons; two great granddaughters; and a step grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Henry Porter; his step mother, Sally Milligan Draucker; his grandparents, Levi and Maud Draucker; his grandmother, Vivian Crain and her companion J. Earl Hoover; and his first wife, Cathy L. Rowles Draucker.

At his request, there will be no funeral services. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield County Charitable Foundation (CCCF), PO Box 1442, Clearfield, PA 16830. Please mark to be used for Class of '62' Scholarship Fund.
