Kenneth Joseph Clapsadle, 88, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, at Knickerbocker Villa surrounded by his family.
Born September 22, 1937, he was the son of John M. and Cecelia (Rafferty) Clapsadle.
Kenneth lived a life marked by service, devotion to family, and enduring strength. He proudly served in the United States Army and United States Air Force for 21 years, retiring with honor as a Technical Sergeant. Following his military career, he continued his life of hard work and dedication as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. His commitment to country and community was matched only by his love for his family, who will remember him for his guidance, humor, and unwavering support.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosalie (Hall) Clapsadle, whom he married in 1957 in Webster, Massachusetts, and his daughter, Brenda Thornhill.
He is survived by his daughter Kim Davis (Joe) of Clearfield, Sandra Bailor (Perry Rowles) of Clearfield, Tracy Witherow (Ed) of Lancaster. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren Joey Davis (Kourtnie, Audrey), Heather DePiano (Fran, Josie, Maggie), Jason Bailor (Brooke, Landon, Makenna), Cory Bailor (Shana, Kinley, Duke, Quinn), Courtney Thompson (Jimmy, Rilee, Camyrn, Liam), Taylor Aughenbaugh (Brad, Grant), Ryan Thornhill (Pedro), Amber Nichols (Casey, Hunter, Aidan, CJ, Eliza), and Michele Williams (Jason). He is also survived by his brothers John (Barbara) of Westminster, MD and Carl of Rock Hill, NC and a sister Sara Forte of Cherry Hill, NJ.
Kenneth's life was a testament to service, family, and faith. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Viewing will be held at Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 2-5 PM & on Monday from 9-10 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, Curwensville on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11 AM with Fr. Marc Soloman officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Grampian. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
