Kenneth J. Kovalick Sr., 87, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home.
He was born on May 25, 1934 in Lecontes Mills, a son of the late John and Viola (Billotte) Kovalick.
Ken worked as a mobile maintenance mechanic at Penelec for 17 years and retired in 1994 after working at various other places.
He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6; Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #314, Clearfield; Old Town Sportsmen's Club; Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Club; Jaffa Shrine Road Runner; and a life member of the Clearfield Fire Company #1.
Mr. Kovalick served with the U. S. Army during the Berlin Crisis.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. (Kline) Kovalick whom he wed September 3, 1955 in Frenchville; a son, Kenneth J. Kovalick Jr. and wife Lisa of Lecontes Mills; two daughters, Sandra Lingle and husband Ronald of Clearfield, and Susan Dinsmore and husband James of Cogan Station; seven grandchildren, Kylee Rowles and husband Randy, Alyson Gross and husband Andrew, Chelsea Arthur and husband Matthew, Sarah Kovalick, Lucy Ogden and husband Michael, Ian Dinsmore, and Joseph Dinsmore; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Smith and husband Raymond of Reinhold.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ann Kovalick; a grandson, Gabriel Dinsmore; and a sister Ann Duncan and husband James.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10 AM with Fr. Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday from 4-6 PM. The family asks all guests to please wear a mask or face covering.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Catholic Church, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
