Leona P. Moore

Leona 'Lee' P. Moore, 90, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the Heritage Ridge Senior Living at Windy Hill, Philipsburg.

She was born August 9, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Blake) Petrosky.

Lee retired from the former Clearfield Bank & Trust Co. as a bookkeeper after 20 years.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield as well as the Rosary and Altar Society. She was named an honorary member of the Knights of Lithuania.

She is survived by five children, Dennis Moore and wife Tena of Clearfield, Mary Jo Sluhocki and fiance David Wentzel of Pittsburgh, Kevin Moore and wife Mimi of Loxahatchee, FL, Michael Moore of Oakland Park, FL, and Kathy Maines and husband George of Clearfield; fourteen grandchildren, Vanessa, Jason, Deidre, DJ, Matthew, Michael, Ian, Jonathan, Justin, Megan, Kyle, Cory, Kerry, & Mallory; a step grandchild; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Moore Jr. on November 14, 2020 whom she wed May 23, 1959 in DuBois. She was also preceded in death by a step grandson; a sister, Josephine Aruskevicius; and seven brothers, Joseph, Walter, Paul, Vincent, John, Anthony, and Frank.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield by Fr. Robert Horgas on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11 AM.

Visitation will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 4-7 PM.

Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund 212 South Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
