Linda Ardary

Linda Carol Ardary, 73, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born on April 16, 1947 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Roy and Pearl (Glace) Shomo.

Mrs. Ardary retired after driving bus for Fullington Bus Company for many years. She had also retired as a cashier at Walmart. Previously, she had been employed by Kents Sportswear.

She was a member of West Side Church of Christ, Clearfield. Mrs. Ardary enjoyed crafts, browsing area yard sales and hosting her own infamous yard sale. She also was known for selling Christmas trees. Above all else, her family and friends were most important to her and she cherished the time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Andrew 'Bo' Bowman and wife Teri of Clearfield, Lynette Brooks and companion Chad Flanagan of Clearfield, and Sherri Gaines and husband Clayton of Clearfield; eight grandchildren, Kyleigh Bowman and companion Tonya Erickson, Kearstin Peacock and husband Randy, Kameron Brooks and wife Alisha, Morgan Wooster and husband Jordan, Shelby Snyder, Darian Pflueger, Chloe Pflueger, and Brayson Gaines; three great grandchildren, Brock Peacock, Austin Peacock, and Weston Speigle; her second husband, Charles Ardary of Curwensville; three sisters, June Juran of Harrisburg, Joyce Valenza of Clearfield, and Betty Wing of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Bowman; and siblings, Carl Shomo, Cloyd Glace, Paul Shomo, Philip Shomo, Lynn Pierre Shomo, Lola Hardin, Dorothy Long, and Helen Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 10-11 AM.
