Linda Ann Derbeque

Linda Ann Palski Derbeque, 75, of Olanta, passed away on October 1, 2025, at the Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born August 26, 1950, a daughter of of John Harry Palski and Evelyn Hazel Krape.

Linda was a leader of the Olanta 4-H for 12 years, Olanta Grange member for 18 years where she served as secretary for 5 years, and a member of the Bloomington Cemetery Association.

Mrs. Derbeque worked various jobs including cleaning at the Days Inn, the Priority Medical Building, and people's homes. She also worked at Shortway where she welded tv tubes, and spent time as a trimmer at Kent's Sportswear. She was the owner of Derbeque's Affordable Weddings.

Linda absolutely loved life.

She is survived by three children, Jolene Cutler and husband Michael of Houtzdale, Dusty Bennett and husband Jerry of Curwensville, and Justen Derbeque and wife Heather of Olanta; six grandchildren, Caleb Cutler and wife Erika, Devan Cutler and wife Leann, Raymond 'Woody' Hasty, Shelby Lynn Swoope and companion Anthony Hunt, Katie Derbeque, and Logan Derbeque; six great-grandchildren, Evelyn Cutler, Abigail Cutler, Ashton Cutler, Summer Hunt, Autumn Hunt, and David Hunt; siblings, Sharon Weld and husband John, Barbara Palski, and John Palski, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ramus E. Derbeque on February 6, 2021 whom she wed June 13, 1970.

A memorial service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 12 PM with Pastor Louis Stubbs officiating.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 10 AM - 12 PM.
