Linda J. Schwartz,76 a cherished member of her community and devoted servant of her faith, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Curwensville, Pennsylvania. Born on February 24, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Barbara and Harold Duppre, Linda's life was marked by steadfast dedication to her family, her career, and her church.
Linda retired after an impressive career as a legal secretary, spanning over four decades, where she worked alongside Michael Yeager. Their professional partnership was renowned, described fondly as the perfect team. Throughout her working years, Linda demonstrated unwavering commitment and professionalism that earned her deep respect among colleagues.
A lifelong member of the Hyde Wesleyan Church, Linda’s faith was central to her life. She loved volunteering for her church, always ready to assist with a smile. Whether sewing costumes for the church play, leading the SALT group, or singing at local nursing homes, Linda embodied a spirit of service and kindness. Her efforts to serve the Lord touched many, reflecting her generous heart and devotion.
Family was Linda’s greatest joy. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Holidays, birthdays, or simply any day she could be with them were blessings she cherished deeply. Her enduring love and warmth created a legacy of close family bonds that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her mother, Barbara McClatchy Duppre; her sister, Leah and husband Sam Mollica; her sons Paul Schwartz and wife Ginger, and Chad Schwartz; her grandchildren Sabrina, Andrew, and Kaleb Schwartz; her great-granddaughters Zoey and Hazel; as well as her nieces Christina and Samantha, and their families. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends, and her beloved church family. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Duppre, who passed in 2022.
Linda went to be with her Lord and Savior during Holy Week, embracing the eternal peace she sought and celebrated her first Easter in heaven. Her faithful heart imagined the joy of sitting at the Lord’s table, a wonderful promise of her enduring faith.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Hyde Wesleyan Church on April 12th at 3 p.m., where family, friends, and church members will gather to honor her memory and legacy. Her family encourages flowers or contributions to the Hyde Wesleyan Church as a tribute to Linda’s life devoted to faith and community.
Linda J. Schwartz’s legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered with great respect and affection.
