Obituary

Lucinda Ann Cardinale, 70, of Frenchville Pa affectionately known as Cindy, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born Lucinda Ann Billotte on May 19, 1955, in Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania, Cindy lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family and community Proud graduate of Clearfield area high class of 73. Cindy continued on to wed her husband Joe Cardinale June 26, 1976. On March 21,1978 she gave birth to her and Joe's only daughter Jennifer.

Cindy’s career was as diverse as it was impactful. She was the proud owner of a hair salon and also ran Cardinale's Cafe in Frenchville, Pennsylvania, until its closure in 1992. Her work extended into education, where she served diligently as a custodian at both Girard and Girard-Goshen Schools. Additionally, she contributed her efforts in the kitchen at the Clearfield County Jail, showcasing her commitment to service in various capacities.

A woman of caring and welcoming nature, Cindy treasured spending time with her loved ones and her four cherished Labradors. Her passion for collecting cardinal bird figurines and photos reflected her appreciation for simple joys and nature’s beauty. Beyond her personal interests, she dedicated herself to her community as a social member of the LeContes Mills Volunteer Fire Company, an involvement she counted among her proudest accomplishments.

Cindy is survived by her beloved brother, Nestor J. Billotte; her sister, Melissa Phillips; brother-in-law, Eric Phillips; nephew, Ian Phillips; grandson, Barry Shirey Jr.; and granddaughter-in-law, Jacqueline Shirey. They remember her as a loving and devoted presence in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cardinale; daughter, Jennifer L. Cardinale; and her parents, Nestor F. Billotte and Mary R. Billotte, whose legacies she honored throughout her life.

Lucinda Ann "Cindy" Cardinale’s memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew her—a testament to a life well-lived with generosity, love, and grace. Her warmth and spirit continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday June 13th, 2026, at 1pm held at LeContes Mills Volunteer Fire Company 9064 Gillingham Road Frenchville Pa 16836. With a private burial by the family held at a later date. Cindy will be laid to rest best her husband joe at St Mary's catholic cemetery Frenchville.
