Lynn Canfield

Lynn E. Canfield, 74, passed away on September 20, 2025, at Heritage Ridge Senior Living at Windy Hill, Philipsburg.

He was born February 6, 1951, the son of Lynn M. and Alberta L. (Bell) Canfield.

Mr. Canfield retired from working construction in 2008. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Vietnam War and then served with the U.S. National Guard for over 20 years.

Lynn enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding fourwheelers, and just being outdoors. He was a lifetime member of the Clearfield VFW and the Vietnam Veterans of American Chatpter #974 of Clearfield.

He is survived by his children, Vicky Forsht of Bigler, Sherry (Bill) Walker of Columbus, OH, and Dakota Canfield of Grampian; grandchildren, Skylar (Kevin) Graham of Clearfield, Brooke (Ryan) Gallaher of Bigler, Cale (Haley Thompson) of Somerset, OH, Cole (Callie) Walker of Columbus, OH, and Lynn James Canfield of Clearfield; great grandchildren, Rilynn Gallaher, Canyen Gallaher, Colton Walker, and Luca Graham; and two brothers, Daniel (Kay) Canfield of Ft. Worth, TX, and John (Kris) Canfield of Curwensville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rose Canfield; brother, Larry Canfield; a nephew, Nathaniel Canfield; and his beloved dog, Jager.

A funeral service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 6 PM.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 PM until the time of service at 6 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Marine Corps Toys for Tots or to any Veteran organization of your choice.
