Margaret Porter

Margaret (Peggy) J. (Boyce) Porter, 82, of Clearfield, passed away peacefully at home and with her husband by her side, Friday, June 6, 2025.

Peggy was born May 28, 1943 in Clearfield, the daughter of the late Mary C. (Freeman) Boyce.

She was a 1962 graduate of Clearfield High School, in which she remained active and helped to create a scholarship for graduating seniors of the Clearfield High School. She was employed by many places; however, it was while working at Brody's where she made many lasting friendships. Peggy had a loving and generous heart where she gave her time in establishing and volunteering for the Clearfield American Cancer Society Relay for Life, was a youth group leader at West Side U.M. Church, and she never hesitated to help many children who came along her path in life. She was a member of West Side U.M. Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Eastern Star.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ronald E. Porter, whom she married on April 20, 1963. She is also survived by her sons, Daniel (Celeste) Porter and Eric (Jodi) Porter, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson - all whom she loved and cherished; four siblings: William (Kay) Boyce, Robert Boyce, Rodney (Bonnie) Boyce, Carol Dixon, and Marylou (Greg) Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald G. Porter, and two infant children, Kathryn and Roy; four siblings: David (Tony) Boyce, Kenneth Boyce, Donald B. Boyce, and Randy Boyce.

A private Memorial Service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Clearfield, PA.
