Mark James Southard

Mark James Southard, 46, passed away on January 16, 2026 at his home.

He was born December 18, 1979, the son of James Southard and Anne (Moore) Coulter.

Mark worked at the Progress for many years. He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.

He enjoyed art, drawing, and playing video games. He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. He was very knowledgeable on many subjects.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Coulter and husband Albert; siblings, Cindy Rumery, Sandra Southard, Dusty Hess, Phillip Coulter and wife Jen, David Coulter and companion; nieces and nephews, Shannon Shaw and family, Shay Shaw and family, Christian Rumery, Isaac Rumery, Helena Hess, Jeremiah Hess, Sierra Coulter, James Coulter, and Abigail Coulter; aunt Christine Cutler; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar 'Bud' and Caroline Moore, James and Mary Lou Southard, Herbert S. and Mary Ellen Coulter; and uncles, Barry Moore and John Moore; and cousins, Wendy Zattoni, Jesse Moore, and Justin Moore.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10 AM with Fr. Robert Horgas officiating.

A visitation will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 4 - 7 PM and again on Saturday from 9-9:30 AM.

Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
