Melanie M. Leigey, 53, passed away on September 16, 2025, at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

She was born March 1, 1972, the daughter of Marvin Sipe Sr. and Dolly (Merrow) Sipe.

She was a member of the John Lewis Shade American Legion Post 6.

Melanie loved listening to music. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, sunbathing by the pool, and just being outdoors.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Christopher Leigey whom she wed in 2003; a daughter, Brittany Sipe; a granddaughter, Maddison Sipe; a step-son, Christian Leigey; two sisters, Susan (John) Adam, and Christine (Donald) Banko; a brother, Marvin Sipe Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brooklyn Carns; and two sisters, Carol Sipe O'Dell and Lou Ann Heberling.

A funeral service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 12 PM.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM - 12 PM.

Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, 113 N. 3rd St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
